Failure to Connect - Part 1

Starting about now, we will engage in conversation about one of the first questions that may come to our minds with the phrase "Computers in Education": what is appropriate use of computers in our schools. We will let Jane Healy facilitate the conversation by reading her comments from the first three chapters of her book.
Remember the Healy is just getting us to think. Her opening remarks will prompt critical thinking and don't necessarily reflect her conclusions which come later in the book. So don't throw the book out if you agree. Argue your points and wait for her conclusions to come later.

Assignment for Week Four

Hopefully you have found a copy of the text book "Failure to Connect" by Jane Healy. Hopefully you have also started to realize we can make it through this class without losing all our hair.
Your assignment is simply read the first three chapters. It's not hard reading. Go to Moodle in Week Four (January 26-January 30) and write your thoughts about what you read. Return to Moodle and this forum several times to read your classmates' comments and add additional comments.
Try to write your first comments by February 9.
