Lesson Ten - A Wrap-up

Summer terms are more challenging for instructors just as they are for students. However, some of us try very hard to not short change your education, and offer you less than what others get during non-summer terms.

Here's a brief summary of the assignments for this summer term.

  • Four skills assignments:
    1. Word processor
    2. Spreadsheet
    3. Powerpoint
    4. Website
Almost all of you are working on the first three. Good!

  • Four text book discussions in WebCT:
    1. Healy Section One
    2. Healy Section Two
    3. Healy Section Three
    4. Fool's Gold in Alliance for Children website (a stretch on the extension of the textbook idea)

  • Three article reviews
    1. Topic one: General (your choice) but related to computers in education (this was part of the Word processing assignment)
    2. Topic two: Computers in education as it relates to a specific audience such as girls and boys, disabilities, poor and rich
This is assigned in an email, one of my short comings)
    3. Topic Three: Again general, but related to some interest that was sparked during this course.

  • The final exit questions as linked in Lesson Nine and here.
All assignments must be submitted to the instructor on or before August 3rd . I will accept assignments at any time as long as I have control of the situation, but the University has a definite deadline for submitting grades.
