Raising a Toddler
It is very likely that your toddler will get an aspiration to learn to walk, be potty trained, or learn to talk. Teaching your toddler these things takes a lot of time and effort. Walking and talking are fairly easy things to teach. Make sure your toddler and the adult teaching them are in good moods with all needs fulfilled. Then, you select the child and click "Teach to Walk/Talk." Potty training is by far the most difficult thing to teach, because it can't be done all at once. For the most success in the least amount of time, watch your toddler to see when their bladder need is getting low. Then, try potty training your child on the little red potty. Don't feel bad if you can't teach your toddler everything they want to learn in the few short days that they are this age. Travis only was potty trained and learned to walk; he never learned to talk. Besides missing out on a few aspiration points, the toddler is going to grow up just fine. Just be sure that you fill up their aspiration bar with other wants.
Toddler toys are great. Not only do they give your child something to do besides play in the toilet water, they gain skill points too. This shape toy built up Travis' logic while he was playing.
Toddlers are old enough to eat on their own. Just place them in their high chair and serve them some baby food or a bottle. You can also give them a bottle while they are on the floor and they will drink it themselves.
If your sim is tired of doing diapers, they can bathe their toddler instead. |
