Caring for Babies
The only thing you will absolutely need when you're preparing for a baby is a refrigerator for their bottles. Babies can sleep on the floor just fine, but then what sort of sim parent would you be? The Roberts bought Travis a crib and changing table. Again, the changing table is optional, but it's useful to have, and you won't have to throw away your baby's diapers.
When your sim baby needs its diaper changed, it will start crying and smell bad. Just pick it up, select the baby, and choose "Change Diaper." Or, select your changing table and change your baby's diaper there.
When your baby is crying, and they don't smell bad, they are probably hungry. Get a bottle out the refrigerator and feed it. Babies must be held when they are being fed.
Babies need to sleep a lot. It's a good idea to keep them in their crib unless they need to be fed or changed. And of course, your sims will want to take them out just to cuddle or play with them every so often. |
