Pregnancy
Think your sims are ready to handle parenthood?
If so, you have two options, adopt or get pregnant. This page covers pregnancy. To learn more about adoption, see the children page. To get pregnant, get both of your sims to relax on their bed together. Have one sim propose to the other that they "Try for Baby." You'll know that you've been successful if you hear a lullaby play once they are finished.

Stages of Pregnancy

1st Trimester (1st day):

Irene throws up a lot and wonders if she might be pregnant.

2nd Trimester (2nd Day)

Approximately 24 hours after she gets pregnant, Irene puts on maternity clothes. She has just a little belly for now. Irene has finally stopped throwing up. Instead, she has to eat more and go to the bathroom more frequently. She also needs more sleep.

3rd Trimester (3rd Day)

About 48 hours after she gets pregnant, Irene gets a huge belly. She still needs to eat, go to the bathroom, and sleep a lot.

Childbirth

At the start of the 4th day, Irene goes into labor. She's moan and groan for just a few minutes.

A box pops up asking what you want to name your "Baby Boy/Girl". Then a baby appears in her arms.
