Raising a Child
Sim children go to school from 8 AM to 3 PM Monday through Friday. They'll get better grades if they go to school in a good mood and complete their homework. Missing a day of school results in dropping a letter grade. Watch out - children who are failing school are taken away by a social worker.
Kids hate doing homework, but it needs to be done. They won't do it if they're in a bad mood, so be sure their needs are fulfilled before directing them to do homework. Parents or older siblings are able to help get it done faster by help the child with their homework. A child who has been taught good study skills by having someone help with homework will complete homework faster in the future.
Sim children can eat at the family dinner table, and while they can't prepare meals, they are able to get themselves a snack from the refrigerator or call to order a pizza.
Learning: Children enjoy being read to. They also can gain skill points by reading, playing (chess or cooking with their toy oven), and other activities. |
