Martin Luther King Jr was the younget man to have received the Noble Peace Prize. He then announced that he would turn over the prize money of $54,123 to the furtherance of the civil rights movement. In April 4, 1968 he was standing on the balcony of his motle room in Memphis, Tennessee he was going to lead a protest march and was assasinated by Jame Earl Ray.
