King's Childhood |
||
Martin was the second of three children. His older sister was Willie Christine King and his younger brother, Alfred Daniel Williams King. Martin Luther King's childhood was a normal happy upbringing. Both him and his siblings learned to play the piano from their mother. Martin Luther King learned quickly the harsh reality of the racial segregation of the south. One day when his family and him went out shoe shopping they were ushered to the back exit after being told by the storeowner that blacks were not allowed in the store. That was one of Martin Luther Kings first episodes that was a result of the Jim Crow Lawas. | Right from center. |
