Summary: In his novel, Animal Farm, George Orwell gives a protrayal of communism through the actions of animals living on Manor Farm. Insprirations to rally against the human farmers come from an old prize winning pig named Old Major. He rallies all the animals together for a meeting and encourages them to stand up to their oppressors and take control. The animals are inspired, but tragedy hits just three days later when Old Major dies. The animals want to continue on with Old Major's plan, so three of the younger pigs step in as leaders. The animals are successful during the first battle against the humans. After the humans are gone they change the name of the farm to Animal Farm and things prosper for a while. Two pigs, Snowball and Napoleon begin to take over and run the farm. Snowball has a vision that all animals will be treated equally and they will all do their part to ensure the success of the farm. Napoleon, however has a different plan. During a meeting he sends attack dogs after Snowball and has him chased off the farm.
Napoleon begins taking control and oppressing the other animals. The animals start to notice that he has taken on more humanistic characteristics and has started walking on two legs. In the barn where the rules, or Seven Comandments are printed the animals see that all have been erased expect for one. And it reads: All animals are created equal, but some animals are move equal than others. It is at this time that the other animals notice Napoleon eating dinner with one of the nearby human farmers, and they realize this is no longer Animal Farm.
