I’ve spent the majority of my youth traveling around the country. To start, I was born in Two Rivers, Wisconsin.  My stay there was short lived, and two weeks later I moved to Pittsburg, Pennsylvania.  From there I traveled from the East coast to the West, living in Oregon, Ohio, Utah, Arizona, and Washington.  I moved to Anacortes, Washington with my family when I was ten years old. While there I became interested in sailing and soccer. I was part of OARSS, The Old Anacortes Rowing and Sailing Society. I played soccer for seven years and coached ten year olds during my off season. I graduate from Anacortes High School in 2002.

After graduation, I moved to Monmouth, Oregon to study at Western Oregon University.  My focus was in Language Arts and Education.  While there, I received awards in academic excellence in writing, linguistics, and literature.

I am currently enrolled in Western’s Education Program, and will be doing my student teaching at Perrydale High School.  While in the program, I am also working on getting my ESOL endorsement.  I am expecting to graduate in June of 2008, and will be moving to South East Alaska to starting my teaching career.
