A parallelogram is a 4-sided
shape formed by two pairs of
parallel lines. Opposite sides
are equal in length and opposite
angles are equal in measure.
To find the area of a parallelogram,
multiply the base (b) by the height (h).
A= bh
Example: If a parallelogram has a base
of 6 inches and a height of 4 inches,
the area would be 6 inches times
4 inches, equal to 24 inches.
A = 6 x 4
A = 24 in.
