Where do they live?: Very few are found in Texas. Most live in Rainforests in South and Central America.

Growing fungi for food is one of the most important things for a Leafcutter ant Colony. They use the leaves as compost to help grow the fungi that they eat. Leafcutter ants have many jobs within the colony. There are 22 different jobs for the worker ants.
