On the west coast of Maui you can find the signature beach of Kaanapali. This three mile long white sand beach is located in Northwest Maui and has crystal clear water. Kaanapali has many resorts and condominiums that are along the beach. There is also the open air shopping center called Whalers Village. The sunsets along Kaanapali are beautiful and are really a touch of paradise.

Kaanapali Beach is excellent for swimming and snorkeling. Snorkeling and scuba diving is amazing near Puu Kekaa, which is also known as Black Rock. There is a ceremony held off of these cliffs daily in which a cliff diver lights torches along the cliff and then dives off Black Rock. This ceremony is a reenactment of the feat by King Kahekili.
