Are there any other names?
An adult female horse is called a mare and an adult male is called a stallion. From the time a horse it born until it is one year old it is called a foal. A colt is a young male and a filly is a young female.
Where do they live in the World?
Horses can live anywhere plants grow and where the weather isn't too cold.
What do they eat?
Horses are herbivores and mainly eat grass.How many babies per litter?
One foal is born per litter.
Why do people raise horses?
Horses are raised for racing, entertainment, riding, and for helping with farm work such as rounding up cattle. Some countries raise them for meat as well.
Do they only live on farms?
Horses live on farms, but also live in the wild.
