Home

Polihale is located at the westernmost point of Kaua'i and it's the last beach on the western road. Polihale is part of Barking Sands Beach making it 17 miles long which is Hawai'i's longest beach. The beach is laid with beautiful white sand and there are sand dunes along the beach. The sand dunes can reach as high as 100 ft. The currents can be dangerous because the beach is open to the ocean and surf can be rough. A safer area to swim is at Queen's Pond, an enclosed reef area, located at the south part of Polihale. On the opposite side of the beach, the northside, is Polihale State Park.
