Home

Ke'e beach is located at the end of the roadand it is a popular destination making it the most visited beach on Kaua'i. There is also a trail located near the beach called Kalalau Trail. The left side of the lagoon is called the Puka Ulua and the currents can be dangerous in that area. Many people fish for the prized Ulua fish here. If you walk toward He'ena there is a beautiful panoramic view of the Na Pali Coast. If you head in the opposite direction and down the path above the reef channel along the rock wall then you will see the Ka Ulu a Paoa Heiau uphill, which is an ancient religous site for Paoa. Paoa was a friend of Lohiau who was the lover of Pele, the goddess of volcanoes. The goddess of hula, Laka, also has a shrine on the hillside cleft behind the heiau platform.
