Who are you?

I am a coach.  Specifically, I am a collegiate basketball coach at Western Oregon University.  I was fortunate enough to get the opportunity to coach at the Division II level at such a young age and I am relishing every moment.  I have a passion for educating and helping others.  The most versatile of environments to accomplish this task is through coaching sport.  It is not the teaching of how to shoot a jump shot that drives me, it’s the life lessons that are taught through the interactions between drills, between practices and games that make it rewarding.  The relationships that I create with my players and the other coaches on the staff are strong bonds that I value greatly.  I can honestly say that I love the players that I coach, and love getting up in the morning to go to work.  This is who I am.  I am a Coach.

What are you doing?

I am moving forward in my career.  Having been given the opportunity to enter into my career far earlier than I would have expected, I am continuing to capitalize on that opportunity by striving to better myself at every experience that coaching basketball at Western Oregon is providing.  Through building a foundation of experiences and a professional network from this opportunity, I am attempting to place myself in a well equipped position to take whatever next step is presented to me in my career.

Where are you going?

I do not know where I am going, but I am moving forward.  I would ultimately like to be in charge of my own program, with a personal family and a professional family that are both strong, intertwined and successful.  Success being measured not by victories or monetary gain, but by the growth and maturity of its’ members.
