Summary
The idea of this project is to introduce numerous poems to the students, and they will create their own “poem book.” Ten different types of poems will be used. Students will have many weeks to complete this. Weeks will consist of them learning a new poem, and then they will create a rough draft. Their rough drafts will get checked, and then the students will type up their final drafts. There will be many peer-editing, as well as some teacher help for this project. Students will also learn to make a dedication page, title page, table of contents, a cover, as well as some illustrations. More information will follow.
