Visual Design: Foundations of Design and Print Production

Visual Design is a year-long, project-based curriculum that develops ICT, career, and communication skills in print and graphic design using Adobe tools. You can use the Visual Design curriculum in career and technical education courses and in courses involving photography, graphic design, and English/language arts. Visual Design develops key digital communication skills: design, communication, project management, and graphic and print technology. Key skills are developed in a spiral as each project adds more challenging skills on foundation proficiencies. Visual Design aligns to the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) National Educational Technology Standards (NETS) for Students (2007) as well as the new Adobe Certified Associate Visual Communication objectives to prepare students for certification.
