For this portion of
the unit we had a read aloud from the book New Plants. The first few pages focused on what
plants need in order to grow so they served as a perfect introduction
to the unit.
After learning what plant needed from the book we had a class discussion, and did a guided writing activity with our new knowledge. We created our own mini book titled,
What Plants Need.
Though the language was difficult for some students they were able to illustrate the pages and use these books to show what they had learned.
