In studying the plant life cycle we once again read aloud from the book
Plant,
however in order to make the lesson simpler for the students, I broke
the cycle down into these four simple steps.
Using these steps the class then participated in a creative drama activity, acting out the life cycle from little seeds through scattering seeds in the wind.
As I held up the life stage stems the students sprouted from their seeds, spread out their arms, as leaves, raised their smiling faces as flowers in bloom and then began to wilt, and shook their head as the wind scattered their seeds.
