The coffee produced in the Latin America region, which includes some of the Carribean, has a light body, with bright flavors.

Areas that produce coffee in Latin American region include Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Honduras, Panama, Jamaica, Dominican Republic, Brazil, and Columbia.

Columbia produces approximately 12% of the world's coffee supply. It is second to only Brazil, that produces approximately 35% of the world's coffee supply.

Columbian coffee is high quality coffee. The coffee is grown at high altitudes and is processed using a wet method. Bogota is considered one of Colombia's best coffees.

In Brazil, Santos coffee beans are used by the specialty coffee industry. Rio coffee beans are often used in New Orleans coffee.
