Review your interpretation and compare it to the source text to determine whether the location of the actors and objects has been appropriately reformulated in the target language. I feel there has been great improvement in this work. In the past I have struggled with setting up my space, and I still do to this day, but I feel that this specific interpreting assignment I set up my space rather well. Because of that, I think the interpretation is much easier to understand.
Review your interpretation and compare it to the source text to determine whether concepts and relationships between concepts have been appropriately reformulated in the target language. I noticed there were a few points where I missed information from the source message, and tried to quickly make some sense out of what I did hear. However, overall, I feel there has been much improvement over my other interpreting assignments.
Does your interpretation maintain the illocutionary force of the original? I do not think my interpretation maintains the illocutionary force of the original. I feel like the speaker, Eugene Corbett, has a very bland, monotone voice which is hard to interpret for. In ASL classes we have always been taught to use our facial expressions, so interpreting for such a featureless person is a challenge for me.
