I teach because I want to do what I can to help kiddos wade through the ups and downs of adolescence. My personal experiences have shown me that sometimes all it takes to be inspired to do and be greater is one person to show care, interest and encouragement. I hope that each student that enters my classroom will feel welcome and valued. I also teach because I love language; I love to read,to write and to help others discover the role language plays in discovering more about themselves and their world.
I live with my incredibly kind and loyal husband of 8 years, Jonathan, and my sweet and energetic toddler son, Josiah, near Corvallis. In my free time, I love to get outside with my family and explore new places. I also enjoying traveling, running, tackling home projects with my husband, curling up in front of the fireplace with a cup of tea and a good book, and dinking around in the kitchen and garden.
