- Temperate forest are on of the richest habitats on the planet with a wide range of plants and animals.

- There are two main types the deciduous forest and the evergreen forest.

- Deciduous Forest: Tend to be found in the Northern Hemisphere, and can look lifeless during the winter due to the trees having no leaves.

- Evergreen Forest: The trees here do not lose their leaves in the Fall, and usually seen in warmer climates.

- The area that temperate forests cover are now fewa nd far between compared to the vast regions they once covered.
