    1. Trained to become a volunteer
    2. Learned how to organize books and put them back in the right order on the shelves
    3. Placed returned books back on the shelves
    4. Worked at the front desk to check returned books into the computer system
    5. Sorted books to be put on hold, entered them into the computer, and put them on the hold shelf
    6. Helped train new volunteers
    7. Worked with the volunteer coordinator of the library to organize files and contact volunteers, and people interested in volunteering at the library

 

Health Promotion Experience

  1. Unseen Mean Anti-Bullying Project                                September – December 2008

Salem, OR

    1. Became trained as a volunteer for the American Red Cross
    2. Worked with American Red Cross in trying to implement an Anti-Bullying Curriculum in the Salem-Keizer School District
    3. Drafted individual/grant proposal highlighting key issues dealing with bullying in elementary schools
