Nurse Shark

Scientific Name: ginglymostoma cirratum

This shark is common particularly in the carribean. It is sluggish during the day but active at night. It feeds on bottom dwelling lobsters and other crustaceans, as well as snails, octopus, squid, and any fish that is slow enough to be caught by its great gulping style of feeding. It is a harmless shark unless it is provoked.
