This website illustrates the rate of Latina teen pregnancy in San Diego County in comparison to teen pregnancy rates across the entire U.S.  It includes rates of contraceptive use, births and abortions and communication between partners.

 

University California

Details the issues that the state of California faces with regard to Latino teen pregnancy.  The University of California Agriculture and Natural Resources is helping mitigate this problem by establishing the Latino Teen Pregnancy Prevention Project.  The projects goal is to increase knowledge of how to help Latino teen parents and how to create effective teen pregnancy prevention programs aimed at Latinos.

 

Advocates For Youth

Details the factors affecting young Latinas health in the United States and their risk for teen pregnancy.  Some of the risk factors explained on this website include changing cultural norms, poverty, and limited access to health care services.  Other factors are described such as familism, gender roles, and having an older boyfriend.

This website offers hundreds of publications on teen and unplanned pregnancy.  They are grouped into several categories such as contraception, focus groups, Hispanic community, and parents.
