This publication examines the risks as well as the protective factors affecting Latina adolescents in the United States. The study focused on young Latinas living in Los Angeles, California which is home to one of the largest Latino communities in the nation and was done by administering a survey in three high schools with teen parenting programs. The goal of the study was to determine whether individual, family, and extra familial factors differ between the groups.
