Dietr., Picea nobilis Dougl. ex Loud, Pseudotsuga nobilis McNab. Plant tree. 60–70 m tall. Bark flaking. Gray to brown. Leaves needle like. Single. 1.5–3 cm long. Spiral. Monomorphic. Leaf scar texture smooth and round. Stomatal lines present. Upper and lower surfaces. One band on upper surface and 2 bands on lower surface. Sexuality dioecious. Female strobili cones (not berry-like). Oblong-cylindric. 11–18 cm long. Reddish brown. Female strobili bracts slender-pointed. Seed 1.2 cm long. Winged. Male strobili shape unknown. Reddish.
