Bark longitudinally cracked forming squares, thin, and fissured. Reddish brown. Leaves scale like. Single. 0.1–0.3 cm long. Monomorphic. Stomatal lines absent. Sexuality dioecious. Female strobili cones (not berry-like). Ovoid-ellipsoid. 0.8–1 cm long. Bluish. Solitary at end of short branchlets. Reflexed. Seed 0.6–0.7 cm long. Lateral winged. Male strobili subglobose. 0.2 cm long. Reddish. Terminal end of short branchlets.
