Thermosiphon Water Heaters

• System has a solar collector panel & separate storage tank

• Collector mounted at least a foot below the tank to permit thermosiphoning

  • the upward movement of heated water by natural convection
  • as heated water becomes less dense and rises to top of tank, cold water from the bottom of the tank flows into the bottom of the collector
