There is only more of a variety of plants in the tropical rainforest than in the desert.

Desert plants have adapted to the extreme heat and aridity of the areas. When many people think of desert plants they think of cactus' like the Saguaro cactus, but many cactus' also have flowers and there are also many wildflowers that grow in the desert.

Two adaptations that desert plants have:

1. Ability to store and collect water

2. Features that reduce water loss
