I was trying to think of how a guy would say in English everything that Mark said in ASL.  That took up most of my channel.  I was not only trying to work on what was said, but how a male would say it.

I think that I could have delayed a little bit longer during most of the video to make it so the passage sounded more fluid.  However, the rate of information that was being introduced was fairly rapid, and I felt like if I delayed anymore I would not be able to catch up.

Because the material was warm, and because I had already analyzed my work with this source, I feel that I was very aware of what I was doing.  I noticed when I made a mistake, or when I was going off on a wrong tangent, and even when I started sounding more feminine in my interpretation.  The one thing I had troubles with, however, was figuring out how to correct what I was noticing without falling behind.

  1. Rate yourself on resuming the interpretation if you faltered.  Briefly explain your rating.

1 Excellent
2 Good
3 Fair
4 Poor
5 Nonexistent

The times that I did make a mistake and corrected it, I felt like I did so without hurting the interpretation too much.  I think with the setting of this interpretation it would have had minimal consequences on the message.

  1. Rate product for accuracy.  Briefly explain your rating.

1 Excellent

I think I did a much better job the second time around (with this source).  I feel like I maintained his affect while still communicating most of the important information.  I feel there has been much improvement between the first interpretation and this interpretation.
